1. Jesus proves His divinity by not only being master over creation, but in being master of life and death. Peter proves both his faith and faithlessness by putting his eyes on Jesus and then immediately taking them back off.
  2. While you are busy working at being passive in your righteousness, let God sanctify you through some holy words spoken by unholy men.
  3. At the outset of His ministry, Jesus' authority is on full display. Authority over sickness, authority over demons, and the authority to call you to follow Him
  4. Should we set goals like reading our Bible in a year, or working on our sanctification? It's that time of year when we all think about new year, new us, new goals.
  5. Be a hero and listen up to the preachers! Real men die for a purpose and bring back a little doctrine in their sermons. Martin Luther would be proud.
  6. What "should" daily devotions look like for a Christian?
  7. It's ok to remember those who gave their life for their country and not remind them that Jesus did something greater just so they don't get a big head. You can tell them the Good News however! Sins forgiven - for free!
  8. Yes, yes, we know YOU know exactly how to study your Bible, but in this episode Craig and Troy give you a method of Bible study that you can easily explain to others. Yeah . . . that's the ticket.
  9. Our goal is to proclaim the genuine good news—that’s what “Gospel” means—of Christ’s forgiveness for you. We do not offer you better tips, techniques or checklists. Instead, You Are Forgiven is sermons by faithful pastors who will clearly show how you cannot be forgiven by your own efforts, no matter how well you do on your homework, your checklist of tasks. But they will also show how you are actually and already forgiven because Jesus has done all that is needed, for you!
  10. On episode NINE of Let the Bird Fly! we welcome Rev. Tyler Peil via Skype for a two-part series to discuss the Ascension of our Lord and Pentecost.
