1. Love is pointing to Jesus who said, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
  2. Christ our Word, as with a two-edged sword, burst the devil's belly.
  3. The answer to our messages is God's "yes," Jesus, who sends his preachers to proclaim that there's no place for us now other than in the grip of our God and Savior.
  4. As the writer to the Hebrews affirms, what makes the Christian gospel so much better is that we are no longer dealing with “types and shadows."
  5. When we pray to Jesus, we pray to the King's right hand. We know one who has the Father's ear, respect and trust. And the one who intercedes for us is still one of us, with nail-pierced hands.
  6. Who would ever want all these screamers and haters? It turns out that Christ does.
  7. God is not calling us to “grow up.” He is calling us to dependence.
  8. For with God we look not for the order of nature, but rest our faith in the power of him who works.
  9. Our God is a living God and he listens to our cries for help.
  10. We don’t start with behavior and work toward Christ. We start with Christ and everything works out from there.
  11. Both now and forever, the bruised and crucified Lord nailed to a cross is our assurance of deliverance.
