1. While we wait in tribulation for our white robes (or pants) to be washed in the blood of the Lamb, we confess to one another our seen and unseen stains.
  2. The resurrection of Jesus encompasses the total and comprehensive glorification of a human being, not merely his restoration.
  3. The Holy Spirit unleashes his power through us, his vines, and we then get to watch as his fruits blossom and ripen.
  4. Everything in Scripture is God revealing himself to his people, you and me.
  5. Christ Jesus brings his word and presence to where you are and he is even willing to do so through the likes of your personally present pastor.
  6. It’s not our eloquence or persuasive rhetoric that changes hearts, but the Word of God that pierces through the hardened shells of unbelief and breathes life into the dead bones of sinners.
  7. God's faithfulness is constant and consistent. It knows no season. His love for us doesn't fade with the summer sun.
  8. Prayer is not just about asking for things. It's about receiving what has already been given to us in Christ.
  9. God cares about our real life where we actually are. He is present in the everyday.
  10. What I desperately needed was not to preach to myself, but to listen to a preacher—not to take myself in hand, but to be taken in the hands of the Almighty.
  11. We number our days not according to our timeframe but according to God’s work and his rhythms.
  12. God is the end of living, the destination, the point of it all.
