Easter (386)
  1. Easter must be seen in light of the cross. It must never overshadow Good Friday. They are a packaged deal!
  2. Jesus died for the people who put Him to death. Jesus rose for the people whose minds rejected the idea of a resurrection.
  3. The sacrifice of Jesus stands completed, once for all, and we believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
  4. If the Risen Christ is ushering in a new kingdom and a new creation, then maybe we shouldn’t be surprised to see some earth-shaking and mind-blowing things taking place.
  5. This Psalm identifies who the people of the Covenant are, and who they are not, and orientates them in relationship to the LORD God.
  6. If we humans willingly operate by the testimony of men in all sorts of matters, then how much more should we readily embrace the testimony of God concerning the death, resurrection, ascension, and rule of His Son?
  7. The One who has defeated sin, death, and the Devil himself is now living in Heaven and praying for you.
  8. Jesus will suffer, die, and rise again for them. By this love, they are forgiven. By this love, they are made His friends: Friends of God.
  9. Love, as it pertains to divine qualities, is an unconditional love, love to the loveless and unlovable, divine love. God is agape. God is love.
  10. Yes, Christ has come and delivered us, but He will come again in glory to judge the world in righteousness and the people with equity.
  11. The expectation of the Old Testament is NOT first and foremost obedience, but rather adoration!
