  3. Job needs a savior, and he knows it. And in Jesus, he gets one.
  4. On Maundy Thursday, Christ explicitly gave his disciples the new command from which the day takes its name, for the Latin words novum mandatum are the Vulgate’s translation of “new command.”
  5. “Save us!” or “Deliver us!” That’s what “Hosanna” means. And that is exactly what Jesus did in the ER that dark Thanksgiving Day and every day for me.
  6. Indeed, Jesus is our Father's answer to our Hosanna.
  7. The gospel isn’t for the strong but people who know they aren’t.
  8. So Christ is risen, but what now?
  9. Forgiveness from Jesus is always surprising to us.
  10. The women at the tomb were surprised by Easter. Amazed and filled with wonder at Jesus' Easter eucatastrophe. And so are we.
  11. Christ does not hide his wounds. He offers them.
  12. If you struggle with doubt, take heart: You are not alone.
