Easter (18)
  1. One glorious resurrection day Jesus is going to lead this flock called the Church “through the valley of the shadow of death” to eternal life in His Kingdom forever.
  2. Is the mission and work of Jesus over now since He is no longer here, or does it go on?
  3. The work of Jesus did not stop! The mission of Jesus did not stop! Nothing can stop this new life through the Gospel!
  4. Through His death and resurrection Jesus will create a new community of mini-suffering servants founded on the righteousness that the Suffering Servant won for them.

  8. All the flock rejects this lamb, except the shepherd. A good shepherd, when they see this happening, takes the little lamb from the flock and holds it in their arms.
  9. Psalm 4 lived through the lives of those first witnesses to the resurrection helps us to share in their personal feelings as they experience the Easter account.
  10. Psalm 148 turns our focus back to the giver of all good things, God Himself, and the greatest gift He has intentionally given for all creation, the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord
  11. This Easter season will be a journey that leads us from fear, through faith, to freedom.
  12. While proverbial wisdom says you cannot compare Judas and Jesus, the preacher responds that you most certainly can, because your purpose is the Gospel.
