1. Preachers and church workers must also hear the gospel preached to them.
  2. Through water, blood, and word, the Spirit never stops pointing us to Christ, and even more, giving us Christ.
  3. The good news is that with our God there is always more: more than we deserve, dare, ask, or expect, more than we can see, hear, feel, or think.
  4. The reason that God’s commandments are not burdensome is that Jesus has fulfilled them.
  5. The love mentioned in 1 John 4:15-21 fourteen times (!) is a love that needs no apology but is determined at all times to sacrifice for the other.
  6. We can appreciate what we have received from God, we can receive it all as free gift, but only when we stop investing in fool's gold.
  7. We need to hear the gospel because it is good news that is not from you, or about you, or because of you.
  8. Christ is not an idea. He isn’t a concept. He isn’t a religious notion or sentiment. He isn’t a product. He is the Savior, flesh and blood.
  9. Jesus remakes us, rebuilds us, and resurrects us so the demons that hide in the cracks cannot get ahold of us, the devil cannot break us, and hell will never know us.
  10. When we cry to the Lord in our trouble, he will send us a preacher with words that deliver us from destruction.
