1. Take courage, you who were lost: Jesus comes to seek and save that which is lost. Ye sick, return to health: Christ comes to heal the contrite of heart with the balm of his mercy. Rejoice, all you who desire great things: the Son of God comes down to you that he may make you the co-heirs of his kingdom.
  2. Rejoice with Mary as she would rejoice with you. Be blessed, like her, with humility from God, so that you may serve joyfully and willingly wherever and in whatever role God has placed you.
  3. The lesson of Malachi reveals God’s love for his people. When the people ask for proof of God’s love, he reminds them of their election.
  4. In whatever direction the bias of men might be, from thence he might recall them, and teach them of his own true Father, as he himself says: I came to save and to find that which was lost.
  5. We will not become hopeless because the Lord is with us.
  6. Let us rejoice, then, in this grace so that our glory may be the testimony of our conscience wherein we glory not in ourselves but in the Lord (2 Cor. 1:12).
  7. For with God we look not for the order of nature, but rest our faith in the power of him who works.
  8. The Church stands firm on the word of promise that Christ will one day return to change what we know by faith into sight.
  9. Preachers and church workers must also hear the gospel preached to them.
  10. Through water, blood, and word, the Spirit never stops pointing us to Christ, and even more, giving us Christ.
  11. Even though All Saints is a day for remembering the dead, it is not a day of mourning.
  12. Every incendiary move of God’s Spirit is accompanied by a group of penitent people rediscovering the power and preeminence of God’s Word.
