1. Faith should later again flow forth from our heart’s depths to our neighbor freely and unhindered in good works; not that we wish to rest our salvation in them; for God will not have that, but wishes the conscience to rest in himself alone.
  2. Christ has received the mark of law that we might be marked with the gospel, with the sign of his holy cross on our heads and hearts as redeemed children of God.
  3. This Christmas season we are thankful that even though we “fallers” are unable to climb up to God, he came down the ladder to us.
  4. While the world and other religions might be fine with considering him everything but, the foremost thing our Jesus came to be and still remains is Jesus, Savior.
  5. Love turns out to be not simply a thing or action, but a characteristic of God himself.
