Prayer (183)
  1. Is there ever a time in a Christian’s life when there is less need for grace? Think about it.
  2. We surrender confidence in God because we lack faith in Christ, and we lack faith in Christ because we rebel against the fact that each, single moment of self-destruction is nailed to that cross.
  3. Advent is one big answer to the question of free will in matters of salvation. God is free. Our will is bound.
  4. God’s gifts are received, and the faithful heart offers gratias, and thanks are given in return.
  5. What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with God? And what words, then, do I pray?
  6. Dr. Keith and producer Caleb take on this month's big questions sent in by listeners. The first question deals with direct revelation from God and if people should seek answers from God outside the Scriptures.
  7. Jesus went on ahead and took our cross, our sins of poor discipleship, our weak faith, our rebellion against God’s command.
  8. God graciously bursts our foolish plots by coming our way, into our very flesh, and being God with us.
  9. For since it was not enough that the Lord of heaven and earth hung on our every word, the Word came down from heaven and hung upon the cross.
  10. How strange and yet how comforting: God prays to God for us, the Spirit to the Father. He sees through the fog of our emotions to what we truly need.
  11. There’s some wild and untamed prayers in the psalms. But they’re fenced in by order, symmetry, predictability. They organize chaos. And they bring order and hope and stability to our chaotic lives.
  12. Daniel and Erick start the Lord's Prayer in this episode! They only get through the first two verses but have a lot to say about the words "our Father", the holiness of God, the kingdom of God, the will of God and prayer in general.
