1. The mystery of grace, though, is that He chose such a thing and then, in His naming, His declaring, His taking these wretches to Himself, they do, in fact, become His “treasured” possession.
  2. Though we live in the assurance that the reign of God is happening now, much in our lives causes a longing for what has not yet come to pass.
  3. Whether sigh or groan, weeping or loud cry, Christ does not stand aloof from the world’s groaning. He, in fact, enters it.
