1. גנב - “You shall not steal." EXODUS 20:15
  2. נאף - “You shall not commit adultery." EXODUS 20:14
  3. רצח - “You shall not murder." EXODUS 20:13

  6. שׁבע - "Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God." EXODUS 20:9–10
  7. שׁוא - “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain." EXODUS 20:7
  8. פסל - “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." EXODUS 20:4
  9. עשׂרת הדברים - So [Moses] was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. EXODUS 34:28
  10. סגלה - "Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine." EXODUS 19:5
  11. נסה - And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?” EXODUS 17:7
  12. מן - When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat." ... Now the house of Israel called its name manna. EXODUS 16:15, 31
