1. דפק - I slept, but my heart was awake. A sound! My beloved is knocking. “Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my perfect one, for my head is wet with dew, my locks with the drops of the night.” I had put off my garment; how could I put it on?   2. שׁחר - "I am very dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon. Do not gaze at me because I am dark, because the sun has looked upon me." SONG OF SONGS 1:5–6
  3. כל - The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. ECCLESIASTES 12:13–14
  4. בור - [Remeber your Creator] before the silver cord is snapped, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern, and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. ECCLESIASTES 12:6–7
  5. כסיל - Then I saw that there is more gain in wisdom than in folly, as there is more gain in light than in darkness. The wise person has his eyes in his head, but the fool walks in darkness. And yet I perceived that the same event happens to all of them. ECCLESIASTES 2:13–14
  6. הבל - The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity. ECCLESIASTES 1:1–2
  7. חנך - Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. PROVERBS 22:6
  8. נפשׁ - Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. PROVERBS 13:3
  9. כסה - The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. PROVERBS 10:11–12
  10. אמון - "When [God] assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside him, like a master workman, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always, rejoicing in his inhabited world and delighting in the children of man." PROVERBS 8:29–31
  11. משׁל - The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth. PROVERBS 1:1–4
