1. Freedom is the opposite of woe-dom. We must remind ourselves and teach our children that God's voice is the voice that matters.

The Cross of Christ speaks volumes above anything that is offered as an empty solution. Come Lord Jesus!
  3. What does it mean that holding to Jesus’ teaching will set us free? Which teaching? What will we be set free from?
  4. Walking on water is what we need. Jesus does it. We got baptism. Float through it all as the Modest Mouse song says!
  5. Jesus is our confidence because he reveals truth from falsehood, right from wrong, and reality from appearance, so that we may rely on him for our every need of body, soul, and mind.
  6. Apart from God's word, we will judge the right to be wrong and evil people as good.
  7. Throughout the centuries and throughout earthquakes, famines, kingdoms falling and rising, God's Word has moved forward. Picking up pieces, people, lives, sins, and hopelessness only to turn them into diamonds through His Grace!
  8. Love is the ultimate gift from God. To be loved by him for all eternity is truly the ultimate goal.
  9. Don’t let anyone tell you the academy denies the concept of truth...good gracious, I hope by the end of the semester they are still alive.
