1. Before he teaches, Paul grieves. Before he argues, he weeps. Before he explains God’s mysterious purposes, he opens his own heart.
  2. Paul fills the courtroom with questions, but the Christian ultimately answers none of them. God answers them all.
  3. Whether sigh or groan, weeping or loud cry, Christ does not stand aloof from the world’s groaning. He, in fact, enters it.
  4. Being a child, heir, heir of God, and coheir with Christ raises the obvious question, what exactly does the Son of God inherit, which I inherit along with Him?
  5. In a text which struggles with the law, the Jesus you preach this week must be the law fulfiller.
