1. We expect God to be at least as fair our society. But that is not how God operates.
  2. The worthy life is not payment for citizenship. It is the life of a citizen who knows where home is... and who has built the house!
  3. Isaiah uses commands and rhetorical questions to invite Israel to have faith in the future deliverance of God and to trust in the finished work of His “suffering servant.”
  4. Joseph could not give them the complete assurance they required. They needed someone greater than Joseph, and so do we!
  5. There is no problem with Christians developing different practices, cultural traditions, and the like. The problem arises when these become the badge of belonging, when they become the badge of righteousness.
