1. The promise of Philippians 4:13 isn't that Christ will always make you strong enough to change your circumstances. It's that Christ will always be strong enough to hold you through them.
  2. God's purposes for His people are good — not comfortable, not free of suffering, but good in the deepest sense. The exile ended. The Messiah came as promised. The tomb is empty.
