Scripture (1609)
  1. Only true doctrine teaches people how to love God and others. Love is the best test for our theology, for true love and true doctrine go together.
  2. Daniel and Erick are recording live from The Belmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas!
  3. We would expect Jesus to be delighted people have responded to the master’s invitation. Instead, Jesus asks these people to reconsider whether they should be following Him or not.
  4. God gives Moses some bad news, Joshua is commissioned to lead, and Moses sings a song that will remain with Israel forever.
  5. As we do in daily life, so we have done in our reading of the Bible: we have placed ourselves at the center, and Christ at the periphery.
  6. Daniel and Erick start Paul’s letter to the Philippians in this episode. To live is Christ, to die is gain, and some suffering is a gift.
  7. The question that this text poses for us today is “What does it mean to believe in the resurrection?”
  8. The promise made to Abraham is for the whole world but neither the world nor Israel believe it.
  9. Daniel and Erick wrap up 2nd Peter. Jesus seems to be taking His time coming again. Why does God’s “soon” take so long?
  10. The Thinking Fellows ask the question, what is the Bible?
  11. Luke does not tell us who asked it. But it’s a good question. “Lord, will those who are saved be few?”
  12. There are a lot of ways to become accursed. And we see just how accursed and sinful Christ had to become.
