Proclamation (181)
  1. Christmas is not for remembering, thinking, pondering, trying to make sure you are really celebrating it properly, or for wondering whether you truly have faith.
  2. Merry Christmas, Christ has spoken, and his verdict stands.
  3. Lewis once pointed out that Christianity does not begin by telling us how to behave, but by telling us what is wrong.
  4. Seek moments of silence, and use them to listen and ponder.
  5. What would the world be like without Christmas? That is, what would it be like without the declaration of Christmas: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”?
  6. Every age has its emergencies, and the church must never ignore them. Yet, our response cannot be one of panic or propaganda.
  7. Your delivery may be perceived as an asset or an obstacle to heralding the message of our Lord. What may help your delivery is a touch of theatrics.
  8. This article is the first part of a two-part series. The second part will take a look at when pastors abuse their congregations.
  9. The Antichrist offers another continual presence. It is every whisper that tempts us toward autonomy, that tells us to carry it alone, that insists suffering is meaningless.
  10. At the end of the day, what do you want to be known for? Your opinions, or your Savior?
  11. Charlie Kirk’s murder is a reminder that Christians will be hated for what we believe, teach, and confess about this sinful world and because of the God who has died and risen to save it.
  12. To confess Christ crucified and risen as the only hope in a world that has lost its mind to wickedness and rage.
