  2. We trust God's Word because Jesus never fails us. He is our daily comfort when struggles and afflictions find us.
  3. The power of God's Word is nothing like human power. People exercise power through force and violence. God's Word manifests His power through humility, service, and self-sacrifice.

  8. The real question we must ask about God’s will isn’t, “God, command us according to your will and we’ll do it,” but, “God, what are you willing to do for us who can’t do what you command?”
  9. God is the only one who decides what we receive, when, and how it’s given to us.
  10. We prefer this to be switched around. We want something to happen in us before anything happens outside of us.
