  1. Mere confrontation in the form of, “What you’re doing is wrong—you need to change yourself,” can never solve the root of our problem.
  2. Death can make us feel like tourists or strangers traveling across the landscape of someone else’s life.
  3. Original sin produces violent fruit.
  4. When we brag about what Jesus does for us, we win the battle.
  5. The Holy Spirit keeps us in faith and pours us out into the world so others may also hear and believe.
  6. Suddenly Psalm 1 is opened to you and to me and to all people as Jesus walks with us, stands with us, sits with us, and gives us His words and gifts of life!
  7. Asking, “Do you have to be baptized to be saved?” is really like asking, “Does Jesus have to save you in order for you to be saved?”
  8. The Scriptural pictures of atonement offer every Christian comfort and hope against sin through the power of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
  9. We don’t need another human to love us, so we become our own divinity full of self-directed, unconditional acceptance.
  10. As we enter into this year’s Advent season, this blog is a part of our series on the hope we find in, through and given by Christ, Each week’s installment will look at hope from a different perspective with special emphasis on corresponding passages of Scripture.
  11. Where Jesus says, “She’s not dead, she’s sleeping,” death dies.
  12. Let’s take a walk together. And as we do, I’ll tell you a mystery.
