  1. The more I seek God on my own terms, the deeper I am gazing at my own navel.
  2. Jesus opened our ears and mouth when He baptizes us. Jesus put His fingers into our ears, speaks to us, and washes our sins away.

  4. My Grandmother recently lost a long battle with cancer. Her name was Joy, and a name has never been more fitting.
  5. This Jesus healed the blind and the lame and the mute and the barren and raised the dead.
  6. There in that moment, the waters of baptism reached down deep into the forsaken path of the grave with a man whose body and mind could no longer hold onto any reality otherwise.
  7. There is just something about the idea of not being ‘under Law’ that sets off all kinds of alarms in the minds of many Christians.
  8. Because of Jesus, we don’t have to pretty up anything ugly thing in life.
  9. His consolation will accompany us in the midst of sickness and death. He will strengthen us, even strengthen us to carry the cross of old age.
  10. Through this promise, God does not let us escape death because in and through Jesus He overcame death.
  11. Christ’s flesh and blood is light that the darkness cannot comprehend.
  12. Now, resurrection can only follow upon death. The good news is, it will!
