All Saints Day (34)
  1. Jesus' first words reveal that he has come to bring into our lives the blessing of his Father's love.
  2. To be a saint of God, one of His own, a child of God, is to have your identity completely swapped, from a child of this age to a child of eternity, from a child of the world to a child of God.
  3. While today we read all of the names of those who have departed this year, we do not lump them all together. Instead, we are asked to see them as God sees them, as individuals.
  4. Our hope of a joyful reunion with our loved ones who died confessing the name of Jesus is as sure and certain as the death and resurrection of Jesus.
  5. Jesus is the life of the people of God and, once more, at the empty doorway of His tomb He is the Word of everlasting life because He is not dead but alive forever.
  6. TradiSHUUUUNNN! TRADITION! Spurred on by last week's thoughts on All Saints' Day, Craig and Troy think about the traditions of the liturgical calendar and the lectionary reading cycle.
  7. Instead of the miraculous, Jesus gives us the mundane. Why? Because the Kingdom of God belongs to these people.
  8. John’s excitement invites his readers to lay hold of this above all else: The lavish love of God.
