  1. The book of Ruth wants us to know the wisdom of waiting on the Lord and to trust that the Lord will provide redemption through an heir who will bring salvation.
  2. The laments of the Hebrews called upon the LORD God to remember His people who are suffering, be faithful and deliver them.
  3. God did what we could never do. He made a promise that endures forever and is eternally significant.
  4. The LORD sends His Son who targets those who are trampled and downtrodden. He comes for all, but He specifically includes the less fortunate.
  5. The LORD God declares He Himself will shepherd His sheep. He will seek them out. He will rescue them. He will save. He will gather them in. In other words, the Good Shepherd will take care of His own sheep.
