Jesus as our Brother, Prophet, Priest, and King

We continue on the 2nd article of the Apostle's Creed, we talk about how Jesus was from eternity--from before in incarnation.

We are recording in front of an audience at Tuscarora Inn and Retreat center. As we continue on the 2nd article of the Apostle's Creed, we talk about how Jesus was from eternity--from before in incarnation. Jesus is referred to as our brother, and we ponder the mystery of that, and evidence supporting that claim. We talk about the human emotions of Jesus, and what it means for us that Jesus has the whole spectrum of human emotions.

We talk about the meaning of the title "Christ" and the annointing of the Holy Spirit. This topic has a lot of tension and mystery, and we wrestle with what that means, and how do we respond to these tensions and mysteries.

We also talk about what it means that Jesus is a prophet, a priest, and a king. The conversation goes to redemption, and ends up talking about the tangible means of grace found in the sacraments, and the comfort they bring.
