Fellow in GloryDr. Rod Rosenbladt (Ph.D., University of Strasbourg), was a professor of theology at Concordia University in Irvine, California for over 30 years, and has contributed to numerous books and recorded presentations. He was also an ordained minister in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).

A renaissance scholar with a flair for controversy, he lived in France. Dr. Montgomery authored more than sixty books in six languages. He held eleven earned degrees, including a Master of Philosophy in Law from the University of Essex, England.

In mid-career, at age 50, he began his theological studies. He studied for his M.A. in theology at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. His Ph.D. in theology and sociology of religion is from Boston University. He is the author of several books, including "The Fabricated Luther" and "The Urchin Series".

He received his doctorate in theology from St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. Nestingen wrote and spoken prolifically on Luther's catechisms and confessional Lutheran theology.

Scott is the author of Being Dad: Father as a Picture of God’s Grace and Being Family: Passing Down the Faith Through Generations and contributes regularly to 1517’s theological work. He earned his doctorate from Foundation House Oxford, under the sponsorship of the Graduate Theological Foundation, studying under Dr. James A. Nestingen. Scott is also a proud father and grandfather, finding joy in both theology and time with his family.

FellowDaniel Emery Price is the Operations Executive at 1517, where he helps lead the organization’s mission to proclaim the Gospel clearly and creatively. He is a frequent speaker, author, and co-host of 40 Minutes in the Old Testament, 30 Minutes in the New Testament, and Tough Texts. A former church planter, pastor, and worship leader, Dan brings a caring heart and a storyteller’s voice to everything he does. He lives in Northwest Arkansas with his wife and two daughters. When he is not writing or podcasting, you can often find him in the stands cheering his kids on at track meets or basketball games. A devoted Razorbacks fan and former touring musician, these days his stage is most often the podium or the podcast mic.

Before joining 1517, he served for 18 years as a parish pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church in Long Beach, California, where he still lives with his family and an ever-growing collection of Star Wars memorabilia. He earned a master’s degree in theology and culture from the Cross-Cultural Ministry Center at Concordia University Irvine. Earlier in life, he was a classroom teacher and camp program director, roles that taught him how to wrangle both whiteboards and camp vans with equal determination. He can also cook up a mean s'more.
