Uwe Siemon-Netto was a journalist, author, and theologian whose life and work left a lasting mark on the church and the world. From his early years as a reporter covering pivotal moments such as the Kennedy assassination and the Vietnam War, to his later vocation as a Lutheran theologian and teacher, Uwe’s voice was both courageous and deeply faithful. A longtime fellow of 1517, he shared his insight and wisdom generously through his presence and writing. His extraordinary story is told in Urchin at War, the first volume in the Urchin Series from 1517 Publishing.
From the ruins of war, to the hope of Christ, he bore witness to the truth.
