Old Testament (1170)
  1. It was the Lord’s delight to crush the Messiah Jesus for the sinners of the world. Reminding us how we would have nothing without the Suffering Servant.
  2. The centrality of Christ, the lover of our souls, the light of the world, everything else is like a shadow.
  3. God with us. Born under the law.
  4. The Christ brings a baptism in order to gather all those sinners who are scattered across time and geography to be God’s people united in redemption and salvation.
  5. In this encouraging episode we hear of the heroics of our Savior, coming to save His bride the church.
  6. Isaiah preaching the Law to increase the trespass.
  7. Solomon prays for grace, and he gets it, and it is not because he asked for it. It is because that is the kind of God he has, a gracious God, full of steadfast love and faithfulness even when we are not.
  8. In this episode, Chad once again clears up some well meaning misunderstandings of this passage and encourages us with good news of God's love.
  9. Isaiah in the Presence of a Holy, Holy, Holy God.
