  1. Rather than ask what bridesmaid we are, Jesus invites us to see what a bridegroom He is.
  2. Any message other than "Christ for you" is not good news.
  3. Instead of the miraculous, Jesus gives us the mundane. Why? Because the Kingdom of God belongs to these people.
  4. John’s excitement invites his readers to lay hold of this above all else: The lavish love of God.
  5. Matthew 22 sees Jesus address Jewish legal debates. In the process, he makes disticntions between the Law and Gospel.
  6. No slogan encapsulates biblical Reformation theology as well as the one drawn from this verse. It is justification by faith apart from works and if apart from works, then the justification of the sinner is by faith alone, sola fide.
  7. More than Jesus being justified by His deeds, Jesus justified by His deeds. The deeds and work of His life actually justify and convey righteousness.
