New Testament (11)
  1. The fact is all of Scripture is fulfilled for us in Christ. But the problem is, Peter was not referring to Christ fulfilling the Old Testament in this text. He was referencing the Old Testament as referring to Judas.
  2. The season of Easter pulses with the joy of God’s blessings in the resurrection of Christ.
  3. All the contradiction turns to praise when we see how God has reconciled us through Jesus’ death and glorious resurrection.
  4. One glorious resurrection day Jesus is going to lead this flock called the Church “through the valley of the shadow of death” to eternal life in His Kingdom forever.
  5. Is the mission and work of Jesus over now since He is no longer here, or does it go on?
  6. The work of Jesus did not stop! The mission of Jesus did not stop! Nothing can stop this new life through the Gospel!
  7. While proverbial wisdom says you cannot compare Judas and Jesus, the preacher responds that you most certainly can, because your purpose is the Gospel.
  8. When the apostles did something, it should beg a question: Does this remind you of anything? The answer will always be, “Yes. It reminds us of Jesus!”
  9. Your listeners needed someone greater than Moses to ask for forgiveness (Luke 23:34) and make atonement (1 John 2:1-2). They needed Jesus.
  10. Each week we are in Acts, the goal will be to find the Old Testament connection which can bring to light a faithful preaching of the Gospel that bridges the testaments during the Easter season.
