1. Psalm 45 gives us a beautiful description of a wedding, and much more for those with eyes of faith, for we see in this Psalm a beautiful picture of ehat to look forward to in eternity.
  2. In the vortex of uncertainty and upheaval, what’s the best thing we can do? Seize the ordinary.
  3. One of the first steps in recovering from a broken marriage is to find ways to heal the divorce that’s happened within our own souls.
  4. Marriage is the ideal school in which to learn that we are not the center of the universe. We’re not created to live for ourselves. We find our true humanity only when we live for other people.
  5. We have to endure darkness before we’re ready for the light again. God is doing what he does best: he’s conforming us to his Son, to Jesus, who was buried in the darkness and rose again into the light on Easter.
  6. You may not believe it; you may even scoff at the claim, but here’s the truth: God hears your roar of pain on the other side of your silence. He counts every tear you let escape, or refuse to let go, from the ocean of anguish inside you.
  7. In divorce God married me to the cross. I didn’t want it; indeed, I hated it. But upon my shoulders God laid it. The ring of nails. The veil of darkness. The kiss of death. When we are stripped of all the good we think we are and have, we come face to face with the evil within. We fight and wrestle and gasp and die and become nothing.
  8. In Mary’s womb, Christ and His Church were wed; United as one Body and one Head.
