1. John wrote so people would have faith in Jesus, so you would believe in Jesus, and that by believing, you would have life in His name.
  2. The combination of the incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection mean the present is transformed forever.
  3. Psalm 148 turns our focus back to the giver of all good things, God Himself, and the greatest gift He has intentionally given for all creation, the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord
  4. This Easter season will be a journey that leads us from fear, through faith, to freedom.
  5. There is absence in that all we have is an empty tomb, but presence because, while the tomb is empty, Christ is alive with a gloriously transformed body and with us!
  6. Rather than trying to tie up all the uncertainties and challenges your hearers are facing into a neat little bow, you acknowledge the difficulties they face...even after the resurrection.
  7. Their interest in the one who had been raised turned to the One who did the raising. And meeting Jesus did not leave them unaffected.
  8. Jesus is coronated on the Cross. It would be from Golgotha where Jesus will reign over the kingdoms of the earth.
  9. The prophet is clear that this coming King would be different from the common experience of kings, both in Israel and among all the kings of the earth.
