  1. The danger of denying the truth of our common human fallenness and brokenness by original sin is that the denial of this doctrine may also lead us to the denial of Christ as our Savior.
  2. The gospel is not an if-then proposition for us to achieve by works, but a done-deal completion by Christ alone which we receive by faith. Even as a good tree bears good fruit, a living faith does living things: it confesses, believes and trusts in Christ above all things. Today, Craig and Troy dive into all of these issues and more on "For You Radio."
  3. A truly Christian work is it that we descend and get mixed up in the mire of the sinner as deeply as he sticks there himself.
  4. The doctrine of election is a doctrine of comfort for all who believe . . . that means it’s for you! Romans 9 is all about the nature of God, and His very nature is to be merciful to the Jew and the Gentile, for the unbeliever and the believer alike. We understand election rightly when our faith looks not at itself, but to Christ.
  5. Regardless of what our eyes, senses, and circumstances tell us, we belong to Christ, and He is with us.
  6. I just can’t seem to get rid of my skeletons. Nothing I do seems to work. Running and hiding doesn’t get rid of them
  7. We don’t need to make forgiveness, life, and salvation a hard sell.
  8. Perhaps the most poisonous venom to afflict the gospel is the notion of "balancing" grace.
  9. I had been taught and believed in a God who is love, but as I walked outside that night I did not see him. I saw the stars and I felt their indifference.
  10. Jesus Christ has finished his work of delivering you from the consequences of your sins and the brokenness of this fallen world.
  11. He calls us to suffer as Christ suffered. That is, we are to suffer in service to our neighbor even if they caused the injustice.
  12. What is supposed to be given by Christ through us for neighbor is used up by us, twisted for our righteous gain.
