  6. We would rather be God ourselves. But, being God is always beyond our grasp.
  7. Any and all failure is re-written to portray us as either victor or victim.
  8. Our sinful nature is ever present this side of eternity. We need a constant reminder of what a friend of mine once said, “Jesus is the reason. Period."

  12. Immanuel is born to rescue all of us weak-hearted, cowardly, self-deceiving children of this world. He comes to set us free in the liberation of His death.
