  1. The more that we hear the law, the more we recognize others as those who, like us, are torn and tattered by the wounds of sin and brokenness.
  2. We take what we perceive to be freedom and turn it into a new credo, a new law, an idol to be lifted up and lived out.
  3. It is only when individuals are bound together in community that they become fully human.
  4. On episode SEVENTY-FOUR of Let the Bird Fly! the guys are all back together for the first time in a long time.
  5. Gospel questions don’t get a Law answer. Religious questions beg for Law answers.
  6. I have been very busy lately, trying to understand things.
  7. They say girls in our society should have nothing to worry about. They should have the opportunity for education and choices far beyond generations before.
  8. Love is the sum of the law. Love God with all your heart, spirit, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. That means that if love can't be done when it needs to be done then get rid of the law, because it's not lawful.
  9. Perhaps if we indulged our Christian freedom around them, they would come to see that “the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
  10. Over the summer listeners sent in many important questions. Today the fellows answer questions about assurance and Lutheran history.
  11. Only because He is an outsider can he afford the costly fee insiders could never afford no matter how hard they work.
  12. I saw a beautiful picture of grace yesterday. A real bestowing of favor on someone less deserving.
