Vocation (670)
  1. Christ is Risen! So stop being a wuss. Get up and Go out! It will be ok. But first take a listen to the boys in black - Ringside Preachers
  2. In the upper room, Jesus revealed himself as the Lord of the dirty business of life.
  3. The show is about nothing! Gillespie and Riley read nothing in this episode. Instead, it’s pastoral care debrief about the quarantine, worship, and how to balance faith and love.
  4. In all of the good or bad that may have come out of the current mess that the world is in due to coronavirus, I see at least one good thing happening. The daily social media feed has been full of pictures, quotes, and videos of ordinary people praising other ordinary people for just doing their job.
  5. Grace is about God’s choice when we cannot by our own reason or strength choose Christ or come to Him.
  6. Big, fancy words and big, fancy ideas are thrown around, but what Craig and Troy try to simply say is that the Word of God turns us to Christ and not to ourselves. Where God's Word neither commands nor condemns, our lives and choices are free in the Gospel.
  7. Sin will constantly break our hearts, but God's love in Christ Jesus will give us new hearts daily, in the abundance of his forgiving grace. This is love in its purest form, and he has overcome the world.
  8. Joseph was not the father of Jesus, but then again, he was. Jesus was the true offspring of the heavenly Father, but even the Son of God needed a daddy.
  9. In the vortex of uncertainty and upheaval, what’s the best thing we can do? Seize the ordinary.
  10. Pastor Bob Hiller gives Craig and Troy a view of the book of James that leans completely on Jesus Christ for salvation but also teaches us to repent when our Christian lives don’t measure up. 12. Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man! Gillespie and Riley continue to read and discuss Erasmus’ diatribe on Free Will and Salvation.
