1. The spirit indeed is willing and desires bodily death as a gentle sleep. It does not consider it to be death; it knows no such thing as death.
  2. I am told that it is preposterous and wicked to call the Son of God a cursed sinner. I answer: If you deny that He is a condemned sinner, you are forced to deny that Christ died.
  3. Paul says that the power of sin is the law. The more clearly we understand the law, the more sin oppresses and stings us.
  4. These three: to judge, to avenge, and to glory, have been taken from us, and no person should share in them.
