Old Testament (1172)
  1. King David takes Jerusalem.
  2. The biblical shepherd leads his sheep. He provides for their needs. He protects them from enemies, and he does not leave his sheep unattended.
  3. David knows how to reward cowards.
  4. The Light of the LORD, Jesus Christ, has risen upon us and set us apart as the chosen people of God.
  5. Revenge ruins everything.
  6. God has created perfectly. God is in the house and all is right with the world!
  7. Two kings and strange war games.
  8. This is the feast, the banquet to end all banquets. The LORD God is the maker and provider of this great feast which takes place for the resurrected faithful in the courts of Heaven.
  9. David laments the death of Saul and Jonathan.
  10. Jesus is not just another king in the line of David—this is the new King David! Hosanna in the highest!
  11. If Jesus is better than Moses, then everything changes. If Jesus is better than Moses, then the ultimate becomes the penultimate.
  12. Don’t boast about the death of Saul to David.
