New Testament (1597)
  1. God is most glorified in the sending of Jesus to be the Savior of sinners.
  2. Trust in the midst of trouble. That is what our Lord calls us to experience today.
  3. Sanctification and quiet lives.
  4. Hebrews reminds us you cannot “be the church” unless you go to church.
  5. Everywhere we look, there is suffering. But Jesus is not calling us to look. He is calling us to listen.
  6. Erick and Daniel begin 1 Thessalonians.
  7. The emphasis for All Saints Sunday is not on the saints, but the Sanctifier, Jesus Christ.
  8. In his death, Jesus has done the ultimate act of charity. He has given his life for all.
  9. The resurrection and long ending of Mark.
  10. Are we still haunted by God? Do our sins bother us to the point that we worry about God’s righteous wrath? Does the concept of justification, how one can be right in the eyes of God, even cross our minds?
  11. Grace is God’s caring disposition toward His human creatures. And it is shown fully and purely in the work of Jesus for us.
