Love of God (233)
  1. Unprompted, without any warning, for no reason at all, without any instigation say, "I love you." And that will wash over your parents like a beautiful absolution.
  2. To believe God is love and thus loves you is a miracle wrought by the Holy Spirit.
  3. His love for you is so deep that in his mercy, while you were yet a sinner, God sent his only begotten Son to die for you.
  4. “So loved,” then isn’t about how much but instead simply how.
  5. Zephaniah has given us something more visceral to help us understand the love of God: the sound of salvation.
  6. This week we will take a closer look at God's love in Scripture.

  8. Love is pointing to Jesus who said, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
  9. God is not calling us to “grow up.” He is calling us to dependence.
  10. It all starts with God; and it all ends with God. He is the alpha and omega of giving and generosity.
  11. Who is God really? He is offensive, anarchic by the world’s standards, and far too gracious to people who don’t deserve his time or attention.
  12. Our God is a living God and he listens to our cries for help.
