  1. You are a soul. Not an algorithm. Not a hashtag. A soul knit together by a God who does not mock, does not abandon, and does not lie.
  2. The great lie of addiction is that suffering must be fled, must be numbed, must be drowned out by any means necessary.
  3. It is the story of a God who is not distant, not indifferent, not doing anything in half-measures, but who is here, now.
  4. The Lion of Judah, Christ the King, Jesus of Nazareth, will not be away from us for one night.

  6. Jesus weeps because his heart pulses with furious rage and fierce love.
  7. A pastor is sent to proclaim the unconditional grace of God, reminding us again and again that it is our Heavenly Father who reaches out to us in love through his Christ-won forgiveness, and not the other way around.
  8. Prayer is not just about asking for things. It's about receiving what has already been given to us in Christ.
  9. Who is God really? He is offensive, anarchic by the world’s standards, and far too gracious to people who don’t deserve his time or attention.
  10. Our God is a living God and he listens to our cries for help.
  11. We can appreciate what we have received from God, we can receive it all as free gift, but only when we stop investing in fool's gold.
  12. With Jesus, troubles and sorrows, problems and worries, heartbreak and mourning are gathered up like left-over crumbs from a feast marking the celebration of victory over the enemy's forces.
