  2. God not only unites us to himself by the death and resurrection of his Son; he unites us, the church, together and to himself under Christ as his children.
  3. We have seen a vision better than an angel. We have seen God on the cross. A God who is willing to suffer for us.
  4. That is the good news that ifies all hand wringing and wipes away every tear from every eye.
  5. Love is to be the interpreter of law. Where there is no love, these things are meaningless, and law begins to do harm.
  6. The gospel of Jesus Christ is also a declaration. It is a declaration of something that has already happened, “that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day."
  7. Ever since the tragedy of the Garden, God’s plan of redemption has been in motion. His movement upon this world has never ceased, and it never will.
  8. He would not go back on his word, for his word is the word of the Father and the Spirit, and they all say “come.”
  9. So, look . . . if you want to rely upon works of the Law to lay claim to the title "child of God," you can't. To be under the Law is to be a slave, and slaves are not sons.
  10. If the world could have been saved by bookkeeping, it would have been saved by Moses, not Jesus. The law was just fine.
  11. Nuance, listening, patience, dialogue. These things seem missing as we analyze our problems in America! We get to speak with a former police officer and current pastor, Tim Barkett, to hear his take from the perspective of those who serve. Great interview.
  12. The lordship of sin and its reign have been deposed by Jesus Christ. Nothing can stand to oppose those who are in Him.
