  3. It’s the Christmas season, that time of year when families gather together to exchange gifts and spend time with one another.
  4. I’ve had a lot of nasty things done to me in my 43 years of life. Many of which were done by church people while we were worshipping and serving Jesus together.
  5. Have you ever received a gift for which you were less than thrilled, but you had to pretend you really liked it so as not to offend the giver?
  6. For most of my Christian experience I was taught and I taught others that church was primarily a place to go to serve, to use your gifts, to bless others.
  7. As sinful humans, we are adept at taking what God gives as gift and making it into a work. Nowhere is this made more evident than in the universally misunderstood doctrine of sanctification.
