  1. "If we are led by the Spirit" . . . but where does the Spirit lead? He always leads us to Christ and His cross.
  2. Lack of effort isn’t the sworn enemy of fruit-bearing. Self-sufficiency is.
  3. By basing our assurance on the promises of God, which we not only hope for in the future but live in now, the Christian can finally rest in the comfort that they are both saved and not responsible for their own salvation.
  4. Throughout the centuries and throughout earthquakes, famines, kingdoms falling and rising, God's Word has moved forward. Picking up pieces, people, lives, sins, and hopelessness only to turn them into diamonds through His Grace!
  5. If our churches are split along generational lines it's because we've turned our backs to the cross. We've shut our ears to the Good News about Jesus Christ, who judges the world with equity.
  6. We're not called to be obedient consumers. We're free in Christ to love and serve our neighbor according to his need
  7. The kingdom I seek is the lower-case realm ruled over by the almighty upper-case Me.
  8. Ultimately, you are not your problems. You are not your weaknesses. You are not your sins. You are sanctified. You are the recipient of God’s abundant, forgiving, amazing grace.
  9. We already know how the war will conclude. Jesus wins.
  10. The lordship of sin and its reign have been deposed by Jesus Christ. Nothing can stand to oppose those who are in Him.
  11. Since Jesus has done everything we need for salvation, we can focus our works and efforts on serving our neighbor.
  12. The unrelenting truth of the Gospel is our only hope. Jesus Christ is the unshakeable, unmovable object of our faith. It is this hope in Christ that we find relief and comfort.
