1. Mike and Wade are joined once again by Rev. Dr. Paul Lehninger, who teaches with Wade an Mike at Wisconsin Lutheran College in the theology department.
  2. Ash Wednesday confronts us with our true nature, our mortality, and marks us with the only escape from it: the cross of Christ.
  3. Transfiguration is like a farewell party for a dear friend drafted and going off to war. We celebrate all that has brought us there, we rejoice in our friend, and yet we know we are sending him off to great danger.
  4. The Father uses this last festival of Epiphany, the Transfiguration, to announce one more time to us just who Jesus is: His beloved Son, the Chosen One
  5. On Epiphany, we celebrate the day when men, made wise for salvation through the Word, met their righteousness.
  6. Advent is one big answer to the question of free will in matters of salvation. God is free. Our will is bound.
  7. On this day, the church remembers all the saints who have gone before us.
  8. Christ has come, does come, and will come. He has set you free from the prison of sin and death.
