Reliant Church will host another Friday night speaker in their continued series called Grey Matters. On Friday, January 24 at the Crave Coffee House, Chad Bird will speak on Wounded Prayers: Where the Hell are you, God? The session will begin at 7p with a 60min talk and then a Q/A.
How do you talk to God when you’re angry with him, confused by him, feel abandoned or ignored or forgotten by him? How do we translate these intense emotions into prayers? Believers have always struggled with this. And they have always turned to the psalms of lament for the answer. These ancient prayers teach us a raw, honest, wounded language that many of us have never been exposed to. We’ll talk about lament, prayer, and how we can find order and peace in the midst of chaos and confusion through these psalms.
