  1. God's faithfulness is constant and consistent. It knows no season. His love for us doesn't fade with the summer sun.
  2. Honey, Where Did This Thing Come From? In this episode, we discuss the Lord’s Supper, early church tradition, worship, and the question, “Where did this come from?” At the same time, we read Dr. Norman Nagel’s essay, “Medicine of Immortality and Antidote against Death.”
  3. Don't lose hope. Don't avoid church on Sunday morning.
  4. Jesus is a real person talking to you and feeding you, which is beyond intellectual Christianity!
  5. God's Word reveals the truth about us. We don't much care for God's Word. We prefer the yes and no of our personal taste buds.
  6. We live in the strength of our baptism again and again and again, returning to it every day according to God's promise. 
  7. The Holy Spirit keeps us in faith and pours us out into the world so others may also hear and believe.
  8. No matter what happens, whether failure, pain, or discouragement, Jesus says, “Come to me... and I will give you rest"
  9. But when we trust Jesus, then we close our eyes to it all and say, “Heavenly Father, I’m your child.
  10. That is why the church has to offer Super Bread and Super Wine, so that God can see that we are Super Christians.
  11. Blessedness comes to us camouflaged as simple earthly words, water, bread and wine.
  12. God's doing for us that gets done is Word and Sacrament stuff. Everything else flows from His speaking to us, baptizing us, bodying and bloodying us. Jesus sees our need.
