  1. Christianity isn’t about our faith. It’s about God’s faithfulness to His promises.
  2. True faith, saving faith that receives the good news about the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world is a faith created in us by the Holy Spirit through the Gospel.
  3. Likewise, when God says, "Do this and you will live," we go about under the illusion that we have the ability to accomplish what God demands of us.
  4. Put to death by God's Word of Law, we are then raised to new life by God's Word of Gospel.
  5. Apart from bare, naked faith in Jesus' atoning work for us, no sinner is, or ever can be, holy.

  7. The God who's lifted up above Calvary, abandoned and forsaken, should draw a more discerning crowd of followers.
  8. With the proclamation that grace and peace come through the bloody suffering and death of Jesus, we're awoken to the fact that God's grace covers all our sin and His peace calms our busy heart and mind.
  9. We just can't stop ourselves from putting the brakes on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  10. Christ's death for us is how and why God declares us righteous. Christ's righteousness is imputed to us as free gift.
  11. When it comes to faith, God runs all the verbs. God's Spirit calls us by the Gospel. He enlightens us with His gifts.
  12. Salvation starts in being a sinner and knowing it because that's where God starts salvation, in making "Him to be Sin who knew no sin."
