Grace (317)
  1. Craig and Troy talk quite a bit about grace. God always keeps (and always has kept) for Himself a remnant chosen by grace. This is good news for we are not left alone in this world without other believers to encourage and strengthen our faith.
  2. Squander. What a great word. It so perfectly captures the pitfalls of backsliding in all areas of life. It's the utter self-ruination of good things.
  3. The gospel is not an if-then proposition for us to achieve by works, but a done-deal completion by Christ alone which we receive by faith. Even as a good tree bears good fruit, a living faith does living things: it confesses, believes and trusts in Christ above all things. Today, Craig and Troy dive into all of these issues and more on "For You Radio."
  4. The doctrine of election is a doctrine of comfort for all who believe . . . that means it’s for you! Romans 9 is all about the nature of God, and His very nature is to be merciful to the Jew and the Gentile, for the unbeliever and the believer alike. We understand election rightly when our faith looks not at itself, but to Christ.
  5. Perhaps the most poisonous venom to afflict the gospel is the notion of "balancing" grace.
  6. What do we say when a Christian admits the church has driven them to atheism? And they don't mean ideologically.
  7. Overcrowding on Mount Everest betrays what our culture worships. We bow down at the altar of the impossible to be seen as the conquerors, the champions.
  8. My past, littered about this tiny island, resurrects itself when I draw near, but it never does so alone. It is always accompanied by the Savior.
  9. Everything was perfectly teed up to move the needle on the baptism metric, but I just couldn’t do it. I told her she shouldn't get baptized.
  10. In truth, forgetting transgressions has little to do with forgiving others who wrong us.
  11. My ego just couldn't accept that I preached the Christian and him improved and not Christ and Him crucified.
