Weekend Seminar
St. Paul Westlake Lutheran Church has invited Dr. Scott Keith to speak this fall. Save the dates of Friday-Saturday, November 6-7, 2026. More details with registration will be coming soon.
Being Family: A series of talks that explore what it truly means to be a family in a culture that often treats families as a problem to manage or a project to optimize. Drawing from theological principles and everyday life, these sessions reflect on marriage, parenting, and family rhythms as God-given vocations, shaped by grace rather than perfection. Listeners are invited to rediscover the beauty of ordinary family life, where faith is lived out through vocation, forgiveness, and love amid real-world challenges.
Dr. Scott Keith is the Executive Director of 1517, where he leads with clarity, vision, and a deep commitment to proclaiming the Gospel. He is a speaker, writer, triathlete, and co-host of both The Thinking Fellows and Tough Texts podcasts. Scott is the author of Being Dad: Father as a Picture of God’s Grace and Being Family: Passing Down the Faith Through Generations and contributes regularly to 1517’s theological work. He earned his doctorate from Foundation House Oxford, under the sponsorship of the Graduate Theological Foundation, studying under Dr. James A. Nestingen. Scott is also a proud father and grandfather, finding joy in both theology and time with his family.
1517 exists to declare and defend the Good News that you are forgiven and free on account of Christ alone.
